COVID-19 Survey

Antibody testing

The deadline for sending back your blood sample for our COVID-19 antibody testing project has now passed.

Thank you to everyone who took part in this important research. It is incredibly valuable to be able to identify who has COVID-19 antibodies – whether that’s through exposure to the virus or through vaccination – and why some people who  have been infected develop severe disease. The results of this study may be able to help guide public health policy and the government’s plan for its antibody testing strategy.

Online surveys

Since the start of the pandemic, we’ve asked you to take part in three online surveys, so we could learn how COVID-19 has been affecting your work, your health, your family and your social life. We also asked participants in four other cohort studies (born in 1946, 1958, 1970 and 2000-02) to complete these surveys. Around 30,000 people across the five studies have completed at least one of them.

The information you have all provided is incredibly valuable. Not only is it helping us to understand the immediate implications of the pandemic, but it will also enable us to track the long term effects, as we continue to follow your lives into the future.
